Event Offers Musicians To Compete In Band, Solo Categories in Music and Dance
The rolling hills of Middle Tennessee will come alive with music on the weekend of June 19-20 at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch and Campground, located in Hurricane Mills, TN. The 1988 Country Music Hall of Fame member will play host to the Inaugural Loretta Lynn’s Pickin’ Jamboree.
Free to the public, the event will shine the spotlight on many of the region’s most talented musicians, with competitions taking place in categories such as Fiddle, Guitar, and Banjo. There are also categories for both solo artists as well as bands to participate in the contest. In addition, cloggers and buck dancers can showcase their talents in the competition as well. Over $1000 in cash prizes will be rewarded to top competitors.
Loretta Lynn’s Pickin’ Jamboree will commence on Friday. June 19 with a Pickin’ Jam at the Ranch at 6pm. Registration begins on Saturday morning, June 20 at 9, with the competition beginning at 10am.
